The editing for Sankai Juku's Istanbul performance, "Utsushi," has almost been completed successfully.
This time, I brought two cameras: one equipped with a telephoto lens and the other with a standard zoom lens for the shoot.
The venue is located in the heart of Istanbul, inside a massive shopping mall. Because of this, I hardly had the chance to take a walk around the area. The reason is that the venue is surrounded by an enormous maze-like underground mall, and the only way to get from the hotel to the theater was through this underground passage.
Moreover, the area around the shopping center was mostly under construction, and the surrounding highways made it difficult to find pedestrian-friendly sidewalks. As a result, it wasn’t a space where one could easily go for a stroll.
During my one-week stay, my routine was simply commuting back and forth between the theater and the hotel via the underground passages. Unfortunately, it turned into a whirlwind tour!
無事に山海塾イスタンブール公演「うつし」の編集がほぼ終わりました。
今回はカメラを2台持参し、1台には望遠レンズ、もう1台には標準ズームレンズを取り付けて撮影を行いました。
会場はイスタンブールの中心部にあり、巨大なショッピングセンターの中に位置しています。そのため、周辺を散歩することはほとんどできませんでした。
理由は、巨大な迷路のような地下街が広がっており、ホテルから劇場へ行くにはその地下街を通るしかなかったためです。
さらに、ショッピングセンターの周辺はほとんどが工事中で、高速道路がその周囲を覆っているため、歩道もほとんどありません。
結果的に散歩できるような空間ではありませんでした。
滞在した1週間は、劇場とホテルを地下街を通って往復する日々でした残念！
